1935 - Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes
Cécile Hinque épouse B. Charpentier à Notre Dames de Lourdes (Canada, Québec)
Celia Hinque Charpentier
Born and raised in Ponteix, Sask., where her father co-founded Notre Dame d'Auvergne parish, Celia Hinque Charpentier was a teenager when she came to Maillardville in 1930.
She was accompagnied by her older sister, Bertha, and her brother-in-law, Albert Desautels.
Her sister has cared for her since their mother's death when Celia was only two years old.
My maiden name was Hinque - very unsual. My father was of Belgian descent and came from Paris, France, with a priest in 1903 to homestead in Saskatchewan; they really developped Ponteix. Together they founded the parish called Notre Dame d'Auvergne.
